For my combo from the Sabor Piri-Piri booth at the North Park Thursday farmers market, I chose Black Eyed Peas and Kale along with Broccoli Sweet Potato Curry. Both were cooked with coconut milk, onion, and tomato with spices, but the sweet potato dish also had peanut in it, either peanut butter or blended peanuts because it flavored and slightly thickened the sauce without offering any crunch. While the peas and the potato were very soft, the kale and the broccoli were toothsome. I got a little piri-piri sauce on the side to spice the dishes up even more than they were. While the piri-piri chicken is undoubtedly more famous, these vegetarian offerings were just delicious. I could taste every ingredient that I was eating.
