What a colorful plate of Guatemalan style tostadas! For the uninitiated, tostadas are crispy fried corn tortillas that get dressed up. Clockwise from top left: black bean, chicken salad, shredded pork, guacamole, and tomato sauce. The shredded pork had lettuce and cabbage pickled with beets underneath the mound of meat. All were garnished with sliced onion, chopped cilantro, and crumbled white cheese. Besides colorful, it was a fresh and healthy plate. Location: Guatemala Grill, 68100 Ramon Road, Cathedral City, California. Date: September 22, 2015.
